The Oaks Course is a Semi-Private, 18 hole golf course located in Covington, Georgia.
Formerly home to two dairies, Bibb Manufacturing Co. first developed the land along the Yellow River as a nine-hole golf course for its employees in the 1930s. One of the course designers was said to be early golf legend Bobby Jones.
Later owners continued to operate the course under the names Porterdale Golf Club, Pinewoods Golf Club, Silo Cay Country Club, and Fox Run Golf Club. However, the property went unused a golf course for many years before an investment group redeveloped it in 1989. The Oaks Course opened for play in 1989.
The original course was restored, and the back-nine was added in 1990 by Michael Hirsch and Director of Golf and designer Dick Schulz.
The Course Closed in November 2021
The land was sold for the development of a $215 million residential and retail development that is set for completion in 2025, Covington-based Infinity Homes and Development LLC plans to build 142 single-family homes, 190 townhomes, 360 apartments, a nine-hole golf course, and a 143,000-sq. ft. area for retail development on the 270-acre site.

Very nice course. The overall maintenance is the very best in the area. Owner is usually onsite to help with any problems. Staff is courteous and friendly. The greens are one of the new hybrid bermudas and putt true, and when they cut 'em short, are fast, fast, fast.
